A new way to give assignments.
Students already use AI. Banning it hasn't worked. AssignHQ puts the AI inside the assignment instead, with rules and security you set. Guided practice on one end. Locked-down assessments on the other.
AssignHQ works with {{ lmsNames }}.
From a PDF to a live assignment in one minute.
Or a test, a photo of paper, or anything with questions. We extract and format everything automatically, recognizing multi-part questions and attaching each diagram to the question it belongs
A source text, an article, or a chapter scan. Paragraphs come through numbered, and the passage sits beside the questions for students.
3. Solve for x: 2x² − 8x + 6 = 0
Then it writes a worked explanation for every question.
LLMs run code-based calculations in our sandbox, and formats the key and explanation off the result. Nothing reaches students without approval.
The First Amendment protects several freedoms at once. Name two, and explain why the founders might have grouped them together.
Write your response here. The tutor can see your draft and help you develop it.
The passage, the question, and the tutor on one screen.
Students work with the source text beside them and can select any line to ask the tutor about it. Written responses come to you to grade, and the help level is still yours to set.
Publish to a six-character code or link, or straight to one of your classes. Either way you watch progress live.
Auto-graded for immediate feedback. Students see where they stand before they leave the room, and you open a set that is mostly finished, because a right answer written a different way still scores.
How grading works →Simulate a teacher, without signing up.
The demo opens a full teacher account with sample classes, invented students, and work already in progress.
Everything your school needs to say yes.
The agreement, the policy, and the W-9 on day one. Student data sealed in a vault even we can't open quietly.
Student work, names, and grades are encrypted at rest. A stolen database shows ciphertext.
A dedicated key service in a separate, locked-down account holds them.
Every access to a school's key lands in a school-named audit log nobody at AssignHQ can edit or erase.
Student work is never sold and never used to train models, ours or our providers'.
A signed data privacy agreement on our template or yours, purchase orders, and a W-9.
Education-records commitments are written into our terms, and the vault keeps them.
Who has to install anything
Install the desktop app →Build assignments, publish them, watch progress live and grade, all in a browser. You can install the app and post assessments from it if you prefer, but nothing makes you.
Open and browser-monitored work runs in any browser, Chromebooks included. If you set an assessment to desktop lockdown, students open that one in the app instead.
The same locked exam on both. Desktop lockdown is on every plan, Free included.
The ones we get asked first.
Optional. Some join an assignment with a class link or a six-character code and pick their name off the roster. Accounts exist for schools that want students signed in.
You set the help level on every assignment. On a problem set the tutor cannot free-type a reply at all. It answers by picking one move off a fixed menu, and handing over the answer is not on the menu. Push for it and you get a refusal, which is logged. You can read the whole exchange afterwards.
Yes. Upload a PDF, a scan, or a photo of paper. Questions, diagrams and multi-part items come through with each figure attached to the question it belongs to. Or start from one in the library.
Three levels. A normal tab, a monitored tab that records switching away, or kiosk mode in our desktop app where other applications cannot open at all. Kiosk runs on Mac and Windows. On Windows the app also intercepts Alt-Tab and the Windows key, which a browser cannot do.
Yes. Ours, your school's own form, or the state forms New York and Illinois districts require. Purchase orders and a W-9 as well, usually the same day you ask.
No. Student work is never sold and never used to train AI models, by us or by the model providers we use.
Free for every class you teach, forever, and it never holds a student's name. A school licence covers the whole building on one invoice and adds real names, written answers, and the tutor.
Assignments and browser-monitored work run on any Chromebook. Full kiosk lockdown needs the desktop app.
A student reads question one, has no idea where to start, and subconsciously decides they are bad at this. That is the moment they go looking for help somewhere you cannot see.
Almost none of them are trying to get away with something. They needed a first step and there was nobody to ask at ten at night. So we put the tutor inside the assignment, where you decide how much it is allowed to give away, and we built the lockdown for the days when help is not the point. One assignment, two dials, and a teacher setting both.
See AssignHQ with your own assignments.
Free for one class, forever, and no card to start. Rolling it out across a school? We will set the pilot up with you.
